I have lived in Joplin since the age of twelve when I moved here from Southeast Ohio. I graduated from Parkwood high school in 1985 and Missouri Southern State College in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance. I also received a master’s degree in human resources from Pittsburg State University in 2001 and a MBA from Fitchburg State University in 2020. In 1986 I joined the Army Reserve as a military policeman but after graduating from Missouri Southern I was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army Infantry. In 1992 I joined Coca-Cola as a sales representative where I stayed until 1995 when I joined FAG Bearing as a certified quality technician in the metrology lab. I stayed at FAG until 2002 when I joined the staff of The Independent Living Center, where I have been the Executive Director since 2004. I am very passionate about the Joplin community and helping people. I served six years on Joplin School’s Board of Education and three years on the City of Joplin’s Planning and Zoning Board. I also served for six years on the Miracle League of Joplin’s board and spent ten years coaching youth sports. I feel very strongly about helping people succeed and also helping them fulfill their dreams, which is why I wanted to obtain my real estate license. In my opinion, there is no greater goal than owning a home where you can raise your family and watch your children grow. I have been married to my wife, Susan, since 1993, we have a daughter and a son who are both adults. My family and I enjoy Fishing, Kayaking and going to auctions.
